20 year old girl looking for accommodation in Amsterdam

I am 20 year old girl starting a bachelor of communication at the UvA end of August.
If it is possible, I would like to stay somewhere in the East of Amsterdam, as this is where my uni is located.
in order to meet other students it would be nice to find roommates from the UvA. but I am not very picky.
