20 year old girl from UK looking for accomodation in centre of Alicante

I am a student at Leeds University England.
I will be arriving in Alicante to begin a work placement at Kings College at the end of August until end of May 2014.
I am looking for accomodation in the centre of Alicante, I dont mind sharing as I will need some help to settle into Alicante. I would prefer my own bathroom but if that is not possible then it is ok. Also I will be needing wifi.
Also is it ok if any guests who may visit from England for an occassional weekend able to stay over.
I like cooking and am fairly quiet until I get to know someone well.
