What is it like to live in Alexandria? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
It's a nice warm coastal city. Very easy to memorize it's routes and destinations.
Crowded in the summer with heavy traffic in basic roads.
Very nice to live in with such nice weather and easy transportation and nice people.
What is the student lifestyle like in Alexandria?
With the existence of Bibliotheca Alexandrina (The Library of Alexandria), Alexandria University Campus, Medical, Scientific, Engineering and Literature areas it's very rich with materials, However the buildings and materials are not very fancy.
How much does it cost to live in Alexandria?
It depends on the level of accommodation. But overall it's very cheap to live here.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Alexandria? Is there any advice you can give?
Not at all, very wide range of Hotels and apartments.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Very nice specially when it comes to seafood.
What places would you recommend visiting in Alexandria?
Is it good to eat out in Alexandria? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
... etc in addition to the Take away and franchises like Abu Rabei', Gad, McDonald's, Mo'men,.... etc
Is the nightlife good in Alexandria? Where is good to go?
Despite the fact that Egypt is an Islamic country, but in Alexandria there's some of international hotels and local bars which offer a nice -not popular- nightlife.
What advice would you give future students heading to Alexandria?
Beside college, I suggest trying to get involved in any civil activity or volunteer work which is mainly in the Library of Alexandria which will give you the chance to get to know a lot of great minded and energetic young people.
