What is it like to live in Albi? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Albi is a small town, but it's really beautiful in the center and if you search you can find some restaurants, café or bar which are really cool.
What is the student lifestyle like in Albi?
Champollion University is a small university, so you con easily find people to talk with them, the contact is easy I think, and the atmospheer is more "relax" than a big town.
How much does it cost to live in Albi?
Same than other french city (except Paris that is more expensive than the rest of France).
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Albi? Is there any advice you can give?
I'ts easy to find an apartment in Albi, but you have to search in french sites like "le bon coin.fr" or like "Appartager" to find flatsharing.
Furthermore, you have to know that is more easy to find something for one year.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Food is really good when you know where to go!
What places would you recommend visiting in Albi?
La place du Vigan, Cathédrale sainte cécile, Musée Toulouse Lautrec, Jardins de la Berbie ... Just walk in the center and "explore".
Is it good to eat out in Albi? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
For restaurants I recommend : "Le lit bleu" (restaurant where you can eat some french Tapas, or burgers, or salad ... There is everything and cocktails are really good)
, "Pizzeria del duomo", "O'sullivans" (it's an irish pub), "le cascabar", "L'épicurien", "La planque de l'évêque", and 'L'Alchimy" (this one is expensive, but if you go here at the lunch between monday and friday, it's less expensive)
And there is a really good Pizzeria (but here it's just to take away) : "Le ponte vecchio"
Is the nightlife good in Albi? Where is good to go?
The faculty organized some events every Thursday, you can have the program (its called "le retour du jeudi"). Me i prefer go into a restaurant, drink cocktails and go to my friend's apartment.

Visit the town, find places that you like. Take the train to go into Toulouse (it's one hour from Albi). Try to visit town which are around Albi thanks to bus or train like Cordes-sur-ciel for example
