Ghana's first Communication Satellite to be converted into a Radio telescope

Thesatellite communications antenna is  32-metre in diameter and is situated at the hilly area of Kuntunse in Ghana.

Due to its size, it was considered for the SKA project. Other SKA partner countries include: Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia and Zambia.
