Fourah Bay College is the leading University in Sierra Leone that make up the three Universities of Sierra Leone. Students feel proud acknowledging their attendance/acceptance into the university. It is a busy University with a host of students from all facets of learning.

What are the facilities like?

The facilities are good with refurbishment ongoing.

What are the tutors like?

Most of the Tutors especially those in the Departments I took modules in are experienced and professional. There is a fair number of female lecturers as well.

Are the lessons easy in Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone?

The lessons are very good in that if you really pay attention in class, you will not find it hard to relate your studies to your professional career.

Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?

The university organize activities such as debates, athletic sport, student union activities, positive social clubs among others.

Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?

The level of indulgence in the teaching depends on the student. The lecturer might be giving a very good lecture, but it is left with the student to digest the lecture and prove well in the exams. I enjoyed almost all my lectures during my studies at FBC.

Are there any stories you can share?

Fourah Bay College being the citadel of academia has proven to be steadfast in offering good academic knowledge to students and is very reasonable in the amount of the tuition charges, which encourage a lot of students to go into the university immediately after high school.
