Anais, I think Gawain and the Green Knight was written a little bit later than Beowulf, but they've both been translated into modern(ish) English. If you try reading them in the original Anglo-Saxon then I'll be very impressed.

Ah there were so many potential modules once I finally got the right list. There were loads on Czech culture and film studies and history of art which sounded amazing. If only I was there for more than a year I would have picked them all.
