What is it like to live in Bremerhaven? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I like the feeling to wake up in the morning and hearing the seabirds yelling. It is very beautifull to walk through the streets and visit the little harbour near the centrum and the columbus center.

What is the student lifestyle like in Bremerhaven?

Students have a lot of advantages. They can get a discount for cinema or the many museums. With a so called "Semester Ticket" they can use all bus lines for free.

It is not so difficult to find a room like in Stockholm. You can also look for WG's but also one room apartments.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is very good, it are typical nothern food, but you will also find a lot of supermarkets in bremerhaven like edeka, netto, aldi or penny.

What places would you recommend visiting in Bremerhaven?

Don't miss the Havenwelten!!!

Its a place where you can visit different museums, like the "Klimahaus", "Auswandererhaus" and other things.

Try a guide tour through the Havenwelten, also when its dark or start a boat tour through the big harbour of bremerhaven.

Is it good to eat out in Bremerhaven? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

go to the columbus center, but also try the fish restaurants in "FIschereihafen", they are the best northern of all.

Is the nightlife good in Bremerhaven? Where is good to go?

There is the "Nachtschicht" near the columbus center, but I heard also from a spot called "Blattlaus", where many other students like to meet each other.

Near the theatre of Bremerhaven you can also go to "Casper" or "Bodega"

What advice would you give future students heading to Bremerhaven?

Enjoy learning on the dike.
