About me:

I am an English teacher with over 7 years of experience teaching and a B.A. in creative writing and the English language. Although I have had the opportunity to travel and live in other countries, I am originally from London.

What I enjoy most, is meeting new people and teaching them English. It is so rewarding to give others a valuable skill in life and a way of understanding different cultures.

Teaching English is a passion of mine and this is reflected in the way I am with my students: friendly, positive and patient. I want to use my skills to enrich others lives; whether it is to open gateways for new job prospects or just to help others achieve their personal goals.

Qualifications & Experience:

I am a fully qualified ESOL teacher with an Advanced Business TEFL Certificate, and CELTA Certificate.

My first experience teaching started in 2012 when I moved to Madrid and trained as a teacher with Vaughan Systems, an English language academy. I taught professionals in large and small groups at international companies throughout Madrid. I then went on to Barcelona where I worked with young learners teaching drama and English. I moved back to London in 2013 to carry on my training at International House and I currently work as a private English tutor.

I teach 1-2-1 classes and to groups that want to learn either general or business English. I also help students studying to pass: KET, PET, FCE, CAE, and achieve a 6+ band IELTS. I have also trained students to pass British citizenship tests such as IELTS Life Skills and Trinity B1.

Teaching Approach:

The lessons I provide are adapted to each of the individual's needs. I follow a communicative method which makes learning easier and fun. Each lesson will practise 2-3 areas of the English language such as grammar, speaking, listening, pronunciation and some writing tasks. Students progress and learn English through conversations and discussions with myself or others (in group classes) about trending topics and news articles. Students can practise their language skills, ask questions and receive the support that they need. As a result, everyone progresses as a group.
