Fun and Enthusiastic English, Spanish & Bulgarian Tutor

Hi! My name's Victoria and I am currently a student at the University of Manchester. Although I am studying a Business course, I have a passion for learning languages and would like to help other students studying English, Spanish or Bulgarian!

I believe I have the right scope and expertise, along with relevant tutoring experience, to make fun and intriguing lessons. From my experience as a camp counsellor, I have learnt to apply different activities to keep students engaged and interested in the subject. I have previous experience tutoring children in beginner English for one academic year. As far as other subjects, I have an intermediate level of Spanish, and throughout the 5 years I have spent studying it, I have also tutored my sister. As a native Bulgarian speaker, I have tutored the international staff in my high school for one year.

I tailor my lessons to better suit the learning style of the student. I believe in active learning, supported by discussions and evaluation of the exercises during the lesson and I also like to incorporate visual and auditory materials. In my tutoring sessions I would generally do a warm-up activity at the beginning, review previous weeks' topics, and have the students fill out worksheets, participate in reading, writing, and listening exercises to learn new material before running a final short Kahoot quiz to solidify their knowledge.
I keep up to date with the UK curricula and the changes applied in the various exam boards.
