Friendly, experienced, professional (and fun!) private EFL tutor

Hi guys and girls,


My name is Alex and I have been privately tutoring and teaching for 15 years in 7 countries - Australia, Hungary, France, Japan, Canada, Kenya and England.

My biggest passion is encouraging people to believe in themselves more. I strongly believe that most people can do most things – all they need is two aspects: someone to provide the requisite knowledge, and enough encouragement and support until they can use that new knowledge. I pride myself in providing exactly this to all my tutees and students.

I love helping students of all ages (I've taught from 4 years old all the way to adults). I love to improve knowledge, understanding and most importantly confidence.

My method works as follows: I work hard to build a strong rapport with you as this is vital for maximised learning. Then, (before we start), I make sure we are both clear on what the goals are from tutoring and that we are both happy to begin. Lessons will be varied and push you to new limits. They are also always fun as I believe in learning while enjoying yourself is the best way to learn!

The most important thing for me is understanding your individual learning style and personality. This enables me to adapt my teaching to suit your individual needs.



Qualifications and subjects taught:



I am CELTA qualified (the most recognised EFL qualification worldwide) and have been doing it for 7 years now.

(I'm also a qualified football coach and ski instructor!)
