Amanda!!! I share your situation! I think my University doesn't offer any accomodation but a hotel... so if you have some news about accomodation that will be nice you just let me know!!! so that we can look for something, I think two are faster than one

@Anaïs
Mir geht es gut, und dir?
I'll guess we have to work on some language skills. My spanish is limited to ordering cafe con leche, bocadillo de queso and coca cola while having a break in various training camps on majorca.

Mir geht's gut, Danke!
I have to say my vocabulary is poorer than yours then... Kartoffel und Mineralwasser, that's all I can remember! Lame!
Melisa and Amanda I was thinking about trying to find private accommodation, I think you should try it for a month and then see if you want to change the place or whatever.

Ciao!
I think we people studying at Charles are very lucky, at least we have our seedy communist Hostivar!
Anyway, this webpage is quite nice if you want to find shared flats and it is in different languages:

Anais, what do u mean with private accommodation¿? Melisa, it's possible to do the 40% of courses in another university, not your main one....I'm thinking about taking some courses in Charles, maybe this is a good way to have room in Hostivar! ;) But we have time enought to think in others possibilities....
Wo wonst du? Ich bin Amanda...., Zitronen, Ich liebe dich, Auto-Wagen....Ein, swai, drei, vier, funf, sechs, sieben, acht, nein, zen, elf, swolf,.....xDDD

I see there is quite the potential to get some spanish erasmus students to speak fluent german after a couple of weeks (and some pivo).
Check out http://www.expats.cz/prague/f-11.html for flat sharing aswell.

yes, i was thinking about sharing a flat, I think that that will be also the best way to speak nothing but english! A friend of mine is living in Torino with 3 italian girls and she says this is the best way of accquiring fluency! so.. I will look for some flats, if someone is interested just let me know!
But if you know some accomodation I will be glad to receive infoo!
=)

Yeah that's exactly what I want Melisa, to share a flat and to have to speak in English. My parents are complaining about my decision to go to Prague instead of the UK because of the English... so I want to make sure that at least I speak it with other Erasmus people

I'll be studying philosophy, but, yes, i think that's the same building :)
I'm hoping to learn a bit of some other languages too, not only czech and it looks like Spanish is the one I'll be hearing a lot, which is cool.
So, tell me guys - why did you choose Prague?
