Yes, I know. I already applied for it, in August, because the thing is I am doing clinical practise on july in Bratislava, so my plan is to go to Prague right after that, take the EILC, and finally I´ll come back to Spain in september.

Hi everyone! I'm a student from Málaga, Spain, going to Prague in a few months. I'll be there the whole academic course, studying my 4th year of Medicine in Charles University. A friend of my same class is also coming (she'll introduce herself later).
We are supposed to arrive around the end of september-beginning of october, and our residence (we're guessing) will be Hostivar. We still have paperwork to do, such as filling the online application, complete our LA...but we think it will all be done by this time next week.
We're really looking forward to finishing all the procedures and just focus on the great year we have ahead of us :)

Hi everyone! I'm Jean-Philppe, from France (Bordeaux) and I go to Prague all the next year, in faculty of physical education and sport, in Charles University. The university gives dormitories but I would like to make a flat sharing, and I have to find it myself, and I don't really know how to do... If someone can help me?

Let my introduce myself: I'm Lilla from Hungary. I'll sudy in Prague too in 2011-12 academic year at Charls University Faculty of Philosophy & Arts... I look forward this time, and hope it gonna be great fun :)
And i hope if I have some practical question, I can find somebody here who can help me.

Welcome Jean-Philippe and Lilla!
The best option if you want to share a flat is going for a couple of weeks to the dorms (Hostivar) and then meet new people and look for a flat while you are there. I don't recommend you to look for it only on the internet because they can cheat you (plus I think they take advantage of us being foreigners and they put a higher price per room).

Heya guys,
If your looking for a flat make sure your landlord has good English/another language or get somebody who speaks Czech to check over your lease, otherwise you could end up in trouble!!

If you are going to go to Charles they will give you accommodation at Hostivar dorms, they are not a luxury place but we are all gonna be there at first so 24h party is guarateed lol
The thing is that you will have to pay an extra fee or penalisation because you leave before the end of the semester/course, but everybody pays it so I don't think it's that hard. The good thing is that you will meet a lot of people and therefore more potential flatmates haha
Join the facebook group we did because I am sure that in a couple of months everybody will be looking for flatmates and flats to rent :)

yes i think that i will do the same because when you will arrive to praha you wont have problem for live and you meet erasmus people and after you will search flat with other people and rent it
and in the residence like anais said, the party will be all timeee!!!! ahahah

okey thanks for all Anaïs, I think I will come around september 15th. I'm in a hurry to be there! The objective is to meet a lot of people in many parties... I like that ^^

yes jean i like that too!!its a good opportunity for meet a lot of people of many places!!!these easter holidays i visited to mi friend that she is erasmus in sweeden and i met a japanese,finland,australian,french people!!!=)

Well Lilla have you seen any images from Hostivar? It's quite seedy and that thing about having to share a room with someone... I am not used to it but it seems it is normal in the Czech Republic? I don't know.

Sure... maybe you are right. I just saw some pics about the facade of the building. Yes it s not really modern and looks a bit "socialistic"... Did you find any pictures about the rooms? or Do you know something more about that dorm? (I mean something about the living conditions)

hello everybody! :) the belgian arrived (another player for the drinking olympics ;-) )! I'm going to study law at te charles university in the summer semester, 4 months of pure freedom! I hope you're all looking forward to it as much as I do!
