Hey! I will be in Las Palmas from August 15th (where a spanish course takes place) till the End of the semester. I study medicine and want to know where to find a place to live which is near the medical facility...I would rather live together with other people (Erasmus students or local people than alone) Any advice??? kind regards and greets from innsbruck/austria

Hi! Im going to study business and administration at ULPGC in the next academic year and I'm also curious about the courses - where can I find the list of them? Are they held in spanish or english? Is it hard to pass the exams?
When do you plan to arrive to Las Palmas?
Do you know something about the Welcome Week? When the enrolment starts?
Jakub Hor Yazılan 12 yıl önce
Hi Sandra,
Lists of courses are available at:
http://www.movilidad.ulpgc.es/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=263&Itemid=301
(Informacion Academica | Planes de estudios por centro)
AFAIK most of them are held in Spanish. If there is an exception, it is specified in the details on a website of particular course.
For students of 1st semester the welcome week will be from 2th to 9th of September. For students of 2nd semester: 20th - 27th of January. You can find more details at:
http://www.movilidad.ulpgc.es/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=263&Itemid=301
(Welcome Week section)
On a given website there is also an academic calendar so you can check when classes start.

By the way, I surf and I d'like to know wich are the best ways to get surf spot? Is public transport are good ??
Ruth Reina Yazılan 12 yıl önce
Hello Grégoire! I am canarian girl... your shool (or faculty) is located in Tafiras. The public transport is good and cheap, so the best place where you should live is in the main city (Las Palmas, 15 or 20 minutes from tafira). There is a famous beach called "Las Canteras", if you want to practise surf, is the perfect place of Las Palmas where you could rent a flat. Some peaces of advice: ask for the building and street "Gravina", erasmus people usually live here. People think that in canarian there are always elevated temperatures but it's myth (there are winter)... if you want to know anything else you can send me a message!!
Have a good time!

Hello!
Im from portugal and im going 1st september too , and i also want to know about the welcome week, and accomodation too. but i think we all can take care of accomodation during the welcome week since we will have free acomodation during that week.at least thats what my teacher said. But we have to subscribe to the welcome week first...

Im also getting impatient waiting for the registration. When it comes to accomodation, i would like to rent a flat with some erasmus people, but first i need to get to know them on this welcome week :P
