Suggestions for travellers wanting to be locals

Hello fellow bloggers! During my travels I always look for places that are off the beaten track and that really allow me to experience the destination as a local does. After spending six months in Barcelona, I wanted to share what I have discovered with other travellers/erasmus students and I thought I would start a thread.

So here it goes! Please add any suggestions of you own so we can create a trully useful and vibrant "local advisor" so to speak.
