Hello! I'm a student of architecture from Poland and it appears that I've been admitted to study in Riga in the next semester (September 2012 - January 2013). And I'm in the planning mode. :)

I've read that it's inefficient to rent the dorm, and it's better to rent an apartment (when I compared the prices of a single dorm room it's really very similar, often the same). But I wouldn't feel too comfortable in a new place to live alone so I'm looking for a roommate for the winter semester! I've already found a few really good offers either 2-room apartments if there was one person willing to share with me, or 3-room flats for two people, so if someone is interested then please contact me. As for the future living I think I'm quite easy going so the only thing I'd like to note is that I'd rather live with a non-smoker, as I don't smoke myself.

I've been to Riga once already so I'll be happy if I could give you some tips (although definitely not as many informative ones as the natives would) and write to me soon so we can book something earlier :)

Hello, i've read your post here and I am interrested in finding roomate in Riga for next semester too. :)

few infos about me: I am psychology student from Slovakia. I will attend Rigas Pedagogijas in izglitibas vadibas augstskola with my classmate during winter semester 2012/13. Generally, (as well as my classmate Gabika), I am easy going, friendly, and I don't smoke. As a person, i like being creative, hiking, rock climbing, japanese tea ceremony, art... As a roomate, mostly I am tolerant and laid back.  Gabika is kind of a same nature :) well, if you are interrested, please let me know.

For the green apple, we will know the 15th of june, if it will work next semester .  The easiest think to do is maybe to get in a dormitory for the first month (green apple, or other) and then look for flatmates and a flat. It is easier to check the flat before moving in :)

I have contacted with another student from my university who also will study in this university the 2012/2013 course, and we would like to share a flat with other students (preferably not spanish, for a better way to learn english and the possibility of knowing other cultures).

I am a student from Germany and I will go to the Technical University. I also would like to share a flat preferable with students from other countries. Are some of you still looking for roommates? I would be happy to hear from you. Probably, I will arrive on August 27th.
