Hello! My name is Helena and I enjoy enhancing other people's lives.
I taught English to undergraduates (B+ level) at the department of English studies, University of Lisbon for seven years. Prior to that, I worked in language institutes where I taught all levels of English (A1-C2) and a wide variety of people of different age groups.
Having also taught Portuguese language to undergraduates at two Universities in the UK, has contributed to pedagogical flexibility as I adapted the Celta principles to tutoring in another language.
I now teach both online and face to face in the north of England.I have recently completed a Cambridge assess certificate of achievement for teaching English language online which has further enhanced my online teaching skills.
Lessons can be planned to cater for your individual needs and I can devise my own material and/or follow a set course.
Apart from languages and tutoring, I enjoy cycling, reading and Tai Chi.
