Hi everyone! I'm going to Liège for the whole academic year and I'm looking for a kot
kinga warda Scritto 13 anni fa
Ines! If you are going only for 3 months, it can be hard for you to find other accomodation, i mean "kot". but you can ask about City Living, it's the building in the center. (but it's more expensive than Sart Tilman). City living it's a great option if you want to meet plenty of people, have a lots of fun even without going out. the only disadvantages are that the rooms are small and the price for room is higher than price for a normal room in a student's flat. otherwise it's perfect!
if you will find a landlord who will rent a flat only for 3 months, take it without thinking ;) but how I wrote above, it can be hard. they prefer to rent for 10 months or at least 5.
I dont like Sart Tilman. but I had a lots of friends who were living there and they liked it. the roooms are ugly, and the center it's not so closed. if you want go for a party in the center you have last bus something around midnight. but to coma back to ST you have to take a taxi or wait for the first bus in the morning.

Thanks kinga! I had already sent an email to City Living asking if it would be possible to stay only 3/4 months instead of the minimum 5 months they talk about, but they told me it isn't (even though they told my friend it was possible, as long as there were bedrooms left). xD
I also heard some of the things you are saying regarding Sart Tilman, that's why we weren't that interested in staying there...

Hey guys,
I'm an Irish student. I will be arriving in Liege at the end of August and leaving in June.I have heard that the best way to get accomodation is through something called Kots. I think I would prefer to get an apartment with other students. Can anyone recommend a good website to find accomodation?
I'm hoping to get accomodation with some easy going people from different countries. Sadly, my french is not the greatest, but that is why I'm going on erasmus. ; D
If anyone has any useful advice, please contact me :)

I recommend you this web for looking for a kot:
http://www.appartager.be/
You have to register and they send you e-mails with the new posts acording to your preferences (quartier, maximum price, etc). From what i've seen, most of the "adds" are from belgian students who look for a roommate, the problem is that not so many people answer to your e-mails.

Hey Guys,
I'm Jacqueline and I'll be erasmus from September 2011 to July 2012. Definitely feeling the same crunch for trying to find accommodations that most of you are. International house hunting is no easy task!

Hi guys!I went to liège last week, and I finally found a kot!!it was quite hard to find it because I'll stay there only 5months (people usually prefer to rent a kot for 10/12months). when you'll arrive there, you should go to the "Centre J", in Boulevard d'Avroy: they helped me a lot! in my opinion the best area for a kot in liège is boulevard d'avroy/rue saint-gilles: my kot is at the beginning of rue saint-gilles, I'll reach "le carré" in 3 minutes and my uni (ulg) in 10 minutes walking! so happy!!!
