Olá! I'll be on my Erasmus from Sept-June '11 at the Faculdade de Letras at the Universidade do Porto.
I'm planning to arrive at the end of August to start looking for a flat, but will probably stay in a hostel for the first few days.. Anyone else? Mal posso esperar para chegar ao Porto! :)

Hi Ana.

If you still haven't decide where to live I can give you some tips
In Vila do Conde you have a student's residence. I believe it's there that most of the erasmus students that attend ESEIG stay. However if you don't want to go to the residence you can find a flat/house to rent with a cheap rent.
If you prefer to stay in Porto you will live in a bigger city than Vila do Conde, rents tend to be expensive and if you want to go to classes, Vila do Conde is 45/50 minutes subway ride.
You have to choose between a Small Town and a Large Town.
