Hi Kristen, i'm waiting news from CROUS, but it's my intention to looking for an accomodation now. I thought to contact some french agencies in Paris, and eplain them my situation (i stay in Paris just the first semester). Then, in August, i'm going to go in Paris to see some apartments proposed by agencies. Hi everyone! I'm a french 21 yo student currently doing her erasmus in spain. I'm going back to my dear city in june, but i'd really like to keep in touch with erasmus students. I'll be there this summer, July and august. Unfortunately I don't... I know very few people who live in CROUS campus so I think the best way for you guys to find a flat is to look for flats on the internet (and if you need me to have a look to tell you if the neighbourhood is ok and everything I will) and then plan rendez vous with the landlord when you come to Paris. You have to be very quick because the demand in Paris for flats is very important but don't worry though, last year I found a flat within a month.
