Overview

People are the most valuable asset of any company and now, more than ever, organizations are committed to the happiness and retention of great employees. The human resources management major focuses on managing people from a social, cultural and political point of view while developing management skills and fostering creative thinking. Students will learn effective talent scouting and management in addition to the trends and techniques necessary to build a top-notch team of business professionals.

Degree Awarded

A university master’s degree awarded by Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM), (título propio), a state-recognized university in Spain.

A master's degree from EU Business School Switzerland which is internationally accredited by ACBSP, IACBE, IQA and certified by eduQua.

Dual Qualification

Students studying an EU MBA program have the opportunity to earn a second distinct qualification, a state-accredited degree from the London Metropolitan University, U. K. Students with less than two years' professional experience may earn a U. K. state-accredited MSc in International Management while students with more than two years' experience may earn a U. K. state-accredited MBA. For both degrees, students are required to complete 120 ECTS. This is achieved through the completion of a final EU business competency simulation and a University of Roehampton dissertation in addition to the regular EU MBA coursework. Both qualifications can be earned in one year of full-time study or two years, part-time.

Faculty

EU's faculty is composed of highly qualified academics, entrepreneurs, consultants and business leaders. All courses are taught by lecturers with a wealth of practical experience in their fields. Our teaching staff create a personalized and interactive learning environment that promotes and fosters the skills and knowledge required for a successful career in business. The caliber of the faculty and a culture that values and rewards an entrepreneurial spirit are what make EU Business School stand out.

Program Structure

The MBA in Human Resources Management (90 ECTS) is a one-year, three-term degree. In order to graduate, students must complete a management research methods module and a dissertation. This program is also available as a two-year, six-term, part-time degree.

  • Demonstrate necessary skills for successful negotiation and communication between employees and employers.
  • Apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations.

Career Options

The MBA With a Major in Human Resources Management provides students with knowledge of business disciplines as well as specific skills in human resources. Graduates of this MBA program may be interested in the following careers.

Human Resources Director

Human resources directors are tasked with managing and overseeing the activities of the human resources department within an organization. These include assessing staffing needs, establishing wage levels, designing training programs, devising ways to enhance employee satisfaction for talent retention and developing competitive benefit and compensation plans, among others.

Labor Relations Specialist

Labor relations specialists manage the relationship between management and employees. Their functions include representing the organization in the collective bargaining process, communicating with trade unions and mediating in employee disputes, among others. Their end goal is to ensure a good working environment.

HR Business Partner

A HR business partner works within a business unit creating strategies to ensure that procedural, resourcing and organizational goals are met through an organization’s human resources policy. As opposed to an HR manager, a HR business partner will not have direct administrative responsibilities. They work closely with management and may form part of the board of management.

Human Resources Consultant

Human resources consultants may specialize in several fields. Their aim is to help organizations improve their human resources policies and pool of talent. These professionals are typically contracted for specific projects such as benefit packages, the detection of talent within an organization, reward programs, integration after mergers and acquisitions, training and recruitment. A human resources consultant will analyze an organization’s current situation and needs and present project proposals to management for approval.
