Following the rapid evolution of the job market and the growing request for profiles with a versatile understanding of the fashion, luxury and tourism industries, Luiss Business School has launched the Master’s Degree Programme in Fashion, Luxury and Tourism Management. The Degree Programme offers a modern approach to the field to establish a solid foundation for a professional career.
The Degree Programme balances managerial courses with more strategic and creative lectures. The management course gives candidates the knowledge they need to lead companies in these industries; while the strategic and creative lectures, on the other hand, give students a deep understanding of the field’s underlying dynamics.
The Master’s Degree Programme is divided into the following majors:
- Fashion Management (English, Rome)
- Luxury Management (English, Rome)
- Tourism Management (English, Rome)
- Tourism Management (Italian, Belluno)
- Fashion and Luxury Business (English, Milan and Amsterdam)
The Master’s Degree Programme allows students to receive a general managerial education before beginning the specialised paths of each major. All majors start with the foundations and core concepts of Management, Economics, Marketing, and Branding with a special focus on the Italian market.
Fashion Management is one of the majors of the Master’s Degree Programme in Fashion, Luxury and Tourism Management.
The fashion industry is a fascinating world, characterised by extremely complex mechanisms. In continuous transformation, fashion is dynamic, demanding and requires concrete skills. The next generation of managers of the fashion industry will have to possess a broad range of notions and information, be creative and also have strong leadership skills.
The Major in Fashion Management provides candidates with high quality professional experiences, technical notions and compelling case studies to take inspiration from. Students are given a 360° view of the fashion business and all the job opportunities, helping them find the career that suits them best.
Throughout the Programme, students will learn to:
- Understand the operating mechanisms of the fashion industry

- Interact with modern key roles operating within the fashion industry
Diploma and ECTS
The Master in Fashion, Luxury and Tourism Management – Major in Fashion Management is a one-year Master of Science equivalent to “Master Universitario di I livello” in accordance with the Italian university system. It provides students with at least 60 ECTS – European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System. At the end of the Programme, the Master’s Diploma “Master Universitario di I livello” will be conferred to participants who have passed exams or others assessment tests envisaged in the study program.

The Major in Fashion Management is aimed at recent graduates – or those graduating soon – who are interested in developing competencies in the fashion industry.

Curriculum
The curriculum of the Major in Fashion Management is designed to ensure and support the progressive professional and personal growth of students who benefit from a productive learning experience: lessons, case studies, group work sessions, and a high-level faculty comprised of both academics and professionals.
During the Master’s Degree Programme, students receive constant support from the Career Service Office that helps them increase their employability and find a curricular internship.
Induction week
The induction week is an introductive week to the Major in Fashion Management during which students can settle in and familiarise themselves with life on campus. Ice-breaking labs, seminars, workshops, and presentations allow students to meet their classmates and get a better idea of the services offered by Luiss Business School, as well as curricular and extracurricular activities.
General management
General management courses aim to give all students the necessary business management foundations in order to better understand new concepts that are introduced during the core and advanced courses. The general management courses provide students with an overview that is highly useful upon entering the job market.

Project Work
At the end of lectures, students test their preparation by carrying out an exciting group project. Under the guidance of a tutor they tackle a real case, chosen by our partners, and present their conclusions to a committee of experts.
Learning Labs
Learning labs focus on personal development. During the programme, students develop cross-functional and soft skills by attending sessions to cultivate intellectual flexibility, develop problem solving skills, learn to adapt in diverse situations and refine cross-cultural awareness.
Internship
The curricular internship is generally done at the end of the Major in Fashion Management and represents an opportunity for students to combine theory and hands-on experience, coming into direct contact with professionals working in the industry. The Career Service Office supports students in their search for internship opportunities, thus helping to broaden their career prospects and giving them the possibility to acquire the necessary work experience, both increasing and improving their skills while expanding their business network.
