Livin' la vida Erasmus!

Hello everyone! I wanted to know if someone is going to Recife next academic year. I am planning to go for one academic semester starting from august 2017. I am 25 and  student of Politecnoco of Turin Italy.

How is life in Recife? any suggestions about safe places to stay? I am also looking for an apartment.  It would be great to know anyone any suggestions are welcome.
