Hi, my name's Sam and I'm going to Lyon 3 in September to study languages.
I'm so glad I've come accross this website! I was just filling in my admin forms online (...my brain is now MELTING!) and I was planning on applying for the CROUS accommodation, but I've seen the deadling is end of April! Oops :S
Does anyone know of any accommodation thats in the same price range? Or is anybody looking to flat share?
I wasn't really loving CROUS anyway because it's so far away from the uni (some of them are half hour on public transport)
Is anyone else here going to study French or Spanish at Lyon 3? Add me on Facebook if you'd rather chat there.

I'm not sure someone has mentioned it before but there is this site to find a flat share. But I have to warn you: This site sends really many newsletters once you are registered ;-)

Is anyone coming from England and also looking for a room? There are plenty of spaces on appartager.com that have 2 rooms free but I'm a bit hesitant to go for the 32-year-old-male-requiring-young-female-student types!! aaarrrgh!! x

Sam I am also looking for a flatshare and am having the same male flatmate issues as you :/ I've been searching on craigslist.com yet these are only offering 1 room in a flat so far. let me know what you find as both me and a guy on a similar course are completing a placement in Lyon in a hospital from August for a year (: I'm so excited..but this accomodation is so stressful!!

Hey Sam, I'm going to Lyon 3 as well next academic year and still haven't found any accommodation, I'm a bit wary of appartager.com ads lol. I'm planning on going to Lyon next week to see if I can find anything but I don't know how useful that would be...let me know if you come across anything good please :D

So it turns out I'm not visiting Lyon anytime soon so I'm back to just trying to find accommodation online. Aargh this is so stressful, I feel like I'm only finding places that are either inadequate, too expensive, self contained studios or are being advertised by 49 year old single men....

Yes I am I'm having the same trouble as both you and Lauren with the price. I've just emailed someone back about a 2 bed apartment but I don't yet know the rent. I'd really like to live with students and share the kitchen and living area (:

Lauren hi! I'm having the exact same trouble! I've found a few rooms that would be okay on appartager.com but I've emailed two people, and had no reply :( I'm also a bit weary I can't get over to Lyon until mid-August for a weeks hol with my family, and I'm not sending any money anywhere until I've at least seen the place/met the people. I am starting to consider CROUS again but I'd really rather not! I hated my first year in a student box room!
I really would like just a house to share with students, that's not gonna be pants-down expensive!! Booo.
I'm at Leeds Met, and they bend over backwards to get accommodation sorted for international students...and I feel like we've been left here to find something on our own, orrr pay £300 for them to look for us something.
It seems like there's a few of us on here in the same situation, though, so perhaps we could all look for something together? It's gotta be easier! x

For the price of some of this rent, it would be cheaper for me to live in Lincoln and fly over to Lyon every day to attend uni....joking...or am I? Ha.
