Hi there!
My name is António Alfaia (I'm portuguese) and I'm going to be an intern at the Istanbul Kültür University, starting in a week or so. It'd be great to meet a student or an intern from there. I'm looking for accommodation in the vicinity of the university by the way. I'd gladly share a flat with one or more students/interns.
Cheers!

Hello!
I am going to study at Kadir Has University( spring and summer semester of 2013). I've just found out that i've been accepted and i don't know many things about the life in Istanbul. Could you tell me some things like the prices, like the student life there? I really don't know where to start from.
Pelin Akpınar Escrito hace 12 años
Hey Laura,
You know Istanbul is a huuugeee city and since its crowded and popular prices are little bit higher than other cities in turkey. Probably, u'll prefer to share a flat during your stay because most of exchange students do so. Good news is student life in Istanbul is quite satisfying. :) When I first came to Istanbul I was amazed by the harmony of oriental and western culture. Nice thing about Istanbul is the way it keeps you busy and entertained all the time. I've been living here almost for 3 years and I still feel like a tourist because there are many nice places to visit and enjoy. High costs and the traffic jam are main problems but I think benefits of living in Istanbul will make you happy. What about night life? I like the way people have fun in Istanbul. There are many clubs and bars around "Taksim". Taksim is like Istanbul's Times Square :) Usually at least once a week I go to Taksim to do shopping, to have fun, to drink, to dance, to see a movie or just to sit and watch people walk by.. :) I can talk about Istanbul for hours because I really love this city, so just to cut it short I'll stop here but as I said before if u have any questions dont hesitate to ask. :)

Thanks for the response! I will certainly have many other questions and i will not hesitate to ask ! :*
