Livin' la vida Erasmus!

Hello!!! i'm going to Cluj next february :D i'm looking forward to going there!! ^^ i'm going to Facultatea de Inginerie Electrica, anyone else??

Hi also me next genuary/february i'll go to Cluj i'll attend European Studies faculty...do you know if it's better rent a room in an appartement or stay in the university residence???

Hello! i don't know what option is the best, i suposse the appartment is the most confortable but you have to choose one and to try one's luck to have good flatmates ^___^
I would like to live in Cluj in a flat since february to june but until I arrive there... complicated ^^
Bye bye!

hi! i was in cluj for four months last summer (from the end of may to the first days of october 2009) thanks to the Erasmus Placement. I was in a flat in Morosti area (just above the Pizzeria montana, in Strada Bucuresti, Marasti quarter, look it here http://maps.google.it/maps?q=cluj%20napoca%2C%20pizzeria%20montana&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:it:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=it&tab=wl): the rent was about 150,00 euro a month (we were three persons) and the flat was ok. But I think it could be really interesting stay in the university dormitory, because in Cluj there are about 100.000 university students! And, even if there are lots of parties in the city, even if you live in your own apartment, i know that in the university area (that, if i'm not wrong, it should be the Hasdeu quarter) there are lots of parties too...well, what am i talking about? you are students, so, it could be more funny to live with other students, and consider that some of them are coming from different parts of Europe, just like you! If you want an help in finding your accomodation, i think you must ask an help to your university, asking for someone in cluj who could help you (for example, Ii had the e-mail address of Mrs Abrudan, a "chief" at the UBB, who gave me the e-mail of a students who first found me the hostel and then the flat!). That's all! If you need some advices, don't worry, you can contact me!
Good luck and have fun!

ps: remember that in Cluj, in winter, is really, really, really cold! take care!

Hi! I`m currently studying in Cluj Napoca and if you have any question you can tell me and I`ll do my best. As far as accommodation concerns , living in a dorm is cheaper. Sure some dorms don`t have such good conditions but you can tell me what dorm they recommended you and I can tell you if it`s worth living there or not. Renting an apartment in Cluj is pretty expensive as far as I know.
Don`t hesitate to contact me.

hi i'll arrive on the 18 ganuary for the first month a take the university residence i'll stay in hasdeu campus 17 than i think i'll decide if it is better thake an appartement

Hi,
Hasdeu is the heart and soul of student life in Cluj (talking from my own experience). So if you are a social person and you like parties, Hasdeu is the right place to spend your Erasmus experience. As far as accommodation conditions concern I would say that there are somewhere in the middle. In dorm no. 17 the rooms are little and usually 2 students are sharing the same room. Oh yes and the dorm is for both girls and boys. That is all the information I can think of for now. If you have any question you can write me and I will answer as soon as possible.

Hi there!
I took the accomodation from Technical Univesity where i'm going to study although so many people have told me that... it isn't so pretty good... but i've thougt about take it only the first time... then... i could change my situacion xD
I'm going to Cluj at 17feb :D
