Never rent a room with Errathens apartments

Hello! I'm Natalia and I'm here to tell you about my experience with this company that is literally a mafia in which the owner threatens his workers. At first, everything was something strange, I am not referring to the moment of renting, but to the fulfillment of the clauses of the contract that at first we missed.

To begin with, an "optional" cleaning service was offered for which you had to pay an additional €20 per person each month. When we got there, that cleaning service was demanded of us and if you did not agree directly they threatened to throw you out of your house. Remember that the contract was optional, so it was unfair that it was being required. Besides, we were never given the chance to pay by bank transfer, having to go through one of the most troubled neighborhoods in the city with at least €300 in our pockets.

Not to mention the conditions offered by the flats. Cockroaches, bugs, poor cleaning and humidity were the least you could find there. When asked if that could be fixed, they just dragged their feet and no one ever came to fix it. In fact, when it came to fixing it, you were blamed even though it had been there since before you entered the apartment you were on. For example, at no time did they fix the air conditioning in my room, being the only way to heat me in winter and forcing me to ask them for an alternative way to heat me during the winter months.

Last week, we were kicked out of our apartment, as our contract ended on June 30. They offered us to stay in a residence, in which the prices were abusive in many cases and the conditions were appalling. In my case, I entered a dirty room, with sheets from the former tenant on the bed and at no time was it cleaned to reduce cleaning costs, after telling me twice that they were going to do it and never showing up. In addition, the common areas were dirty throughout that week. At no time could the disgusting kitchen be used and no one came to clean it.

The culmination of all this was the day I left. They knew the time of my flight (at dawn), and I asked them to please leave my room for me during that day since I had nowhere to leave my suitcases. They knew all this information practically a month in advance and at no time, until the day before my departure, did they give me any solution. They were forcing me to leave my apartment because according to them they had that room reserved. This was one of the many excuses they always gave tenants when they wanted to kick them out early so they wouldn't pay extra to the cleaning workers, so I didn't believe it and left my stuff in my locked room.

At one point during the day I began to receive threats by email, in which they said that if I didn't take my things they would throw them away (I had paid for it that day and they knew I had nowhere to leave my things. The solution that They gave me to leave them in my friend's room, in a second without an elevator, with some stairs without light and where we could have fallen going up and down the luggage). I arrived and found my room open and without my things. The apartment owner, a despicable person, refused to speak to me and we had to contact the office, who refused to speak. Also, the cleaning lady also refused to talk. The culmination of all this was when this being took one of my suitcases and, typical of a mafia, he began to extort both me and my two friends, telling us that if he did not give him the keys he would take it. In addition, throughout the course of events, the man tortured me all the time, telling me why I was doing him and his company harm, treating me like a dog and having kept me living among dirt and garbage for a week to cheapen costs.

Finally, I was able to get my things back, but we discovered that both the cleaning staff and the girls in the office were under threat, one of them expressly said that she apologized to my friend and explained the situation to her. If I don't take legal action for this, it's because I'm not getting into trouble, but I'm posting it here so that something like this happens to no one else. This is probably the tip of the iceberg within this company, which after being rented with them for ten months treats me and the rest of the tenants as if we were animals. These behaviors are not worthy of a mafia, where none of their workers are to blame for anything and are only victims of this gangster who only seeks his own benefit.
