Hey,
I am currently in my third semester in a 4-year BA+ Sociology course at my German university. The course includes one year at a partner university abroad (in 2017/18) which I originally planned to spend at the METU in Ankara.
Since I am very interested in the Tirkish culture, language and the Turkey-Europe relationships Ankara would be the perfect fit for further enhancing my studies.
Althogh considering the more or less recent political events and decisions being made by the Turkish political leaders my main concern is about the security and freedom in the whole country, especially the capital.
Mayby anyone here has been staying in Turkey and/or Ankara during the last year or is still there and able to just outline the current situation at campus as well as in town in some sort.
It would be hugely appreciated since I am quite desperate in the process of the deciding where to study and live next year this time.
Greetings to everyone.
Luisa
