Students are expected to gain the following knowledge:
- Administrative institutions, administrative stakeholders and decision-making processes
- Specific theories and theoretic debates concerning public policy and administrative systems from a national and supra-national perspective
- The public policy and administrative processes in post-crisis perspective
Students are expected to develop the following competences:
- Detailed understanding and evaluation of research, analytical methods and theories in the thematic areas of public policy and public administration
- Ability to identify and select highly specialized literature in the thematic areas of public policy and public administration
- Ability to analyse complex scientific problems and draw accurate conclusions by employing qualitative and/or quantitative methods and analyses
- Knowledge to develop independently innovative research questions, communicate their own ideas clearly and convincingly, and to produce analytical pieces of writing
Students are expected to acquire the following skills:
- To connect research and practice and develop practice-oriented research projects
- To analyse theoretical approaches critically and apply them to new political and/or policy developments
- To summarise current policy and/or administrative developments
- To apply the knowledge acquired throughout the programme concerning the processes within administrative processes and the competences of different stakeholders

Entry requirements
Bachelor degree in social sciences, law, administration, business, humanities or an equivalent professional qualification. Bachelor degrees in other areas are eligible if the candidates can demonstrate knowledge of or experience in relevant areas.
Knowledge of English language at B2 level.

Assessment & Grading
Assessment varies depending on the instructors and courses. It includes active participation in class and in online activities, and written and oral assignments. The students will be graded according to the ECTS grading system and in accordance with the Rules on the Assessment of Knowledge at EMUNI University.
