I'm a french student studying law in paris and I'm coming next year to Utrecht as an Erasmus exchange student. I'll be there the whole year and I'll attend Utrecht University of law.

Hi maria ! 
My university and one of my friends who's currently in Utrecht for an exchange, strongly recommended me to book a room via SSH Shortstay, and that's what I did ! I found a room in a residence which is located just next to the faculty of law where I'll have all my classes, and it was super easy to book ! My rent is 375€/month but you can definitely find a private room in a shared apartment with a cheaper rent. Only, it might be a little bit more difficult to find it and arrange it than if you had booked a room with SSH.

Hey Ally! Thanks a lot for answering. I've been searching through SSH Short Stay, but all I see is from 500€ up. I don't know if I am doing something wrong or everything is already booked.. but it's really expensive. I saw some before registering (what everyone can see) that were from 370 like Kruisstraat, but now that I registered it is not there... any help with that?

Hey María, I took a look in SSH Short Stay offer and there are still some for around 400€ :-) i guess Kruisstraat is all taken by now. Already when i was booking my room there 2 weeks ago, there were last places remaining. That´s why you cant see it anymore. Well, try to search some private room on your own, for sure you can find cheaper than SSH offer. Maybe you can look for it here http://www.kamer-net.com/en/rooms-studios.html. Good luck with that :-)

Ughhh no more 400€.. maybe like one for 490. I don't see any more, and I just click on search, with no criteria so that I can see everything... Thank you though!

I will have to look for an apartment.. I just hope I find one cheap with nice people, sounds to good to be true but... lol

Hi everyone !

I'm a prospective exchange student at Utrecht university faculty of law and I have to chose the courses I'll take next year. I'm still hesitating between a couple of courses so i'd like to have feedback about them. I might be interested in taking some of the following courses:

- Transnational Law Perspective (period 2)

- European Private Law (period 2)

- Comparative Legal Cultures (period 2)

- International and european institutional law (period 3)

- Gender and Law (period 3)

- Information Technology law (period 4)

- public international law (period 4)

Any feedback on them ?
