Overview

The fashion and luxury industry has played an important role in society for centuries. Focusing on business management skills and consumer attitudes toward luxury products with an emphasis on design and creativity, this program prepares students for the projection of a brand. With elements such as advertisement strategy, communication skills and innovative, entrepreneurial thinking, students are given an in-depth insight into how to effectively manage and position a unique brand.

Program Structure

The Master in Fashion & Luxury Business (60 ECTS) is a one-year program, divided into three terms. Each term comprises four courses (4 ECTS each) and one seminar (2 ECTS). Throughout the year, students are also exposed to real-life case studies, games and business simulations. In order to graduate, participants must also complete a business plan (6 ECTS).

Learning Outcomes

In addition to industry-specific modules, the program focuses on development strategies and management styles specifically geared toward creating leaders in the industry who can also apply the same skills to the wider commercial market. During this program, students will:

  • Investigate the impact of fashion and luxury on sustainability.
  • Learn about the brand value from the points of view of the fashion designer and artist.
  • Gage the importance of the quality of the product and all the strategies surrounding it.
  • Study the major processes within marketing through case studies and class discussion.

Fashion Retail Buyer

Fashion retail buyers decide on the fashion goods that a store will sell. They analyze trends, forecast sales, manage stock levels, negotiate prices and schedule transport, among others, to ensure that sales outlets are stocked and priced correctly.

Brand Manager in the Luxury Sector

Brand managers in the luxury sector are key to maintaining and evolving a brand’s premium positioning and to satisfying its exclusive target audience. These professionals will create and implement the brand’s strategy and develop actions to ensure its fulfillment. Their tasks include selecting high-end merchandise for promotions, market research, creating written and visual content in line with the brand’s heritage, advertising, developing offline activities to engage with the target audience and exclusive brand loyalty actions.

Social Media Specialist in Luxury

Social media specialists are responsible for posting across social media channels and maintaining top-of-mind awareness of the brand with its passionate followers. These professionals aim to generate engagement with the audience and to make brand news and novelties known. These professionals are key figures within the luxury industry. They will help strengthen a brand’s image through appealing copy and visuals and generate emotion through consumer engagement.
