Hello Alberto ;)

Don't you think it would be easier to find a flat before going, but just book it for October or something? That way you'll already know that you will have a place to stay, because if you move out from the dorms unplanned, you need to pay the penalty charge (I don't know if it's a big number though)....I'm not sure.

80 euros I read somewhere...
The bad thing about renting a flat before going is that you cant see it... and I think that people renting flats tend to put very high prices for foreigners so maybe if we get there and find some czech who wants to help us finding a place we will find cheaper places

I'm thinking in sharing a flat, cause I don't have dormitory, and my university doesn't help me. Do u think that is it possible to find something before, like Nadina says? Or is it better looking for an appartment while we'll be there?
I want to speak English at home to improve it, and I want to live with people that want to have party every day!!! Erasmus life 100%!!!! ;D

I agree with Ramires. Before going, i cannot rent flat. I should see first and after that i will rent it.I think flat is not important, important point is that flatmate

Hey! I'm from Barcelona and I will be in September in Prague too! About the residence, I think it's a good option if you want to meet people, but I also have seen it's far away from city centre... I don't know what to do. Maybe it's better to stay in the residence, I like the idea of being all together and go partying!

In my opinion those who can should try Anais' strategy, at least it sounds good! :)
I heard that for those who can go to those Dorms...many students book a room in a hostel and then after a month or so they get into a flat, shared with someone that they met there....usually other erasmus student!!!
I'll post the names of those hostel if I'll find them again!!!

guys just don't take it so seriously cause you have pleeeeenty of time to find about how to stay in prague....
i wish, though, dorms were big beatifull and with their own bathroom...
panos kar Napisano 13 lat temu
i think that would be a great idea to exchange our MSN so we can practice our english...:)
Anaïs Ramírez Napisano 13 lat temu
They do have their own bathroom Panos! At least at Hostivar

As pointed out before I' start of in the dorm or if you can't get into it book some cheap hostel and start looking for a place once you're in prague. That's probably 95% easier then just blindrenting an apartment or getting screwed by some agency.

Aaron, so we will probably meet each other at the lectures :)
What are you (all of you, not only Aaron) afraid of before erasmus the most? Lectures? Language? Being so far from home? Something else?
Aaron Barreto Napisano 13 lat temu
I'm not afraid. I study relatively far from my home. I like speaking languages and I'm good about learn them. Although, I'm a bit afraid about lectures (I'll do lectures of cinema, photography and aesthetics, and maybe something about Czech art.. lol)
