Hi everybody!

I just wanted to let you know that September is the hottest month in Las Palmas, so don't forget to bring you swimming suit to enjoy the beautiful Playa de Las Canteras! And those of you who arrive in the first week of September, don't forget that September 8th is a holiday in the island, so everything will be closed. But, on the other side, it is a nice party to see, and a great chance to know more Erasmus/Spaniards... and to party!

Everything will be closed even restaurants ? And what type of holiday it is ? Religious or what ?

It's a religious holiday: "la Virgen del Pino" (The Virgin of el Pino), the local patron of Gran Canaria. It'll be as if it was Sunday: restaurants, shopping centers and that stuff will remain open. I just wanted to let you know just in case you had to go to the supermarket, or to fix an appointment to see a flat... those things.

For all of my polish friends : Ja znalazłam mieszkanie z 3 osobami z Hiszpanii przez easypiso.com więc polecam. Jeśli nie to enalquiler.es bodajże gdzie wyszukuje się mieszkań, więc musielibyście się jakoś zorganizować w grupie i szukać razem.
I'm arriving in Las Palmas at the end of September. Could someone tell me which month is the coldest and what temperature might be in winter? Is beach still available in october?
And by the way, can we create some community on facebook? I don't see Erasmus in Las Palmas group for this year. Being in touch is the best thing while we are getting to know each other. xoxo

Hi ! going with my friend to Las Palmas for 2nd term , if anybody knows something about flat to rent/ rooms to rent , please let us know !
