Hy everybody
I'm Beatrice and I'm writing from milan, italy.
On january I should live and come in Bergen for 6 months, for the spring semester.
How is life there? Is better to rent a house or to rent a room?
There is anybody going in the same period? we should keep in touch for sharing any kind of informations! :)

Hei Beatrice! :)
My name is Tina and I`m from Maribor, Slovenia. I`m also going to Bergen for the spring semester. :)
My main worry is about expenses....I`ve heard and also read, that Bergen is one of the most expensive cities in Europe?
Is there any discounts especially for students?

Hi!
I'm norwegian, and I live in Bergen. Bergen is pretty expensive, but not more than Norway in general. I would advise you to look for rooms in apartments (try www.hybel.no or www.finn.no), or try the student housing (www.sib.no). The student housing is definitely cheaper, but the disadvantage is that you will live with mainly other exchange students a bit out of town, which makes it hard to get to know norwegians (if that is your goal, though).
There are a lot of discounts for students, but you have to ask at each store/restaurant/service in particular.
It's a great city for students, so you have a lot to look forward to! :)
