I would like to share my really bad experience with the agency called Spain-Internship. http://www.spain-internship.com/en/

I paid nearly 500 euros for the service. The agency was supposed to find me a marketing internship for 4 months in Barcelona. When I came to Barcelona it turned out that the website on which I was supposed to work is closed, and the only task for me to do are translations.

After one month, after work n the evening, I received an EMAIL from the agency that my internship has ben CANCELLED and I am not allowed to go to work the next day. The reason was supposed to be "the disagreement about the salary" (a few days earlier i asked my boss why I am paid 150 euro less than the other interns). The agency refused to send me more explanations or answer to my emails or calls. They also did not give me back the money that i paid for the service. I did not receive or sign any kind of document with would confirm the end of the internship but I was not allowed to enter the office.

There were no legal basis to break the contract after one month so I will have to go to the court in order to  get all the money back, including the grant from the university, which has to be returned if the internship is not finished. I tried to contact my boss, who signed the contract, but he wrote me an email that it was NOT HIS DECISION to fire me and I have to contact the agency (which also does not respond)

I would be grateful if you could share my experience with the others to make other students aware of this.

Thank you

After seeing the title i had to read this article. I am highly surprised of this what is written here thats why i decided to share my opinion about Spain-Internship. I am the best example to take voive in this conversation because i was also takeing part in Internship in Barcelona. I contact the agency to ask for any help. They gave me profesional advice and propose me the avaliability they actually had. I decided to apply for internship in 5 star hotel, the most famous global chain in the world. After few interviews and online tests i got a contract. Whenever and whatever i needed the agency was there to help me.

During the internship it was not easy because i had to work many hours and no one paid me extra for this. I have had signed the contract where was written 40 hours working per week and sometimes i did 50 or 60. I didnt go to the director and complain about this because thats the reality of working in hospitality industry. The same with the "salary" some of the interns were paid more but as well i didnt say anything because it was not my business. I did not know what type of contract they have and how high is their grund from univeristy. Going for internship we should remember that we have to stay profesional and face the reality. Work is different than the studies. You should more focus on yourself than being jealous about others. And what is wrong with this that you had to do translations for a month? They will not give you a menager tasks from the begining. The agency gave you oportunity and the rest depend on you, how you will take the advantage of the expirience!

At the end i can say that hard working is always succesful. I am happy to tell you that after my internship they offer me a job as an employee. Right now im working for one of the best hotel in Europe.
