Qualified language teacher (DITALS level I) with thousand of hours experience as an online teacher

Hi, my name is Simona and I come from Italy. My internship and my teaching experience allowed me to came in contact with a wide range of students of different ages, cultures and with different needs. From a theoretical point of view, I have skills in the fields of linguistics, Italian literature and the teaching of Italian as a first language and as a second language acquired during my study path. I was born in the south of Italy and grew up in a little village, and I have always been curious about everything was different from me.This curiosity, has implied, for a long time, a total rejection of my roots which I perceived tight and limiting. Anyway, I realized that I couldn't have understood what was different from me if I hadn't understood my culture. For this reason, I began to study my dialect first to come to terms with my south roots and my mother language then (so, I’ve been first a student of my language), falling in love with it (as I hope you'll do) and deciding then to become an italian teacher for foreigners, combining my love both for Italian and diversity. Regarding my classes, I don't have a ready-made method, I like to adapt them to my student's needs and goals. Anyway, I can help in exams preparation, and in developing reading, listening, writing and speaking skills.
