Hi. I am a TEFL/TESOL certified English teacher with more than 10 years experience teaching private and group lessons for students at all levels. I have a successful track record in exam preparation for IELTS and CAMBRIDGE exams. I emphasize the four aspects of language: speaking, listening, reading and writing.

I am an American with Italian citizenship living in Rome. I have advanced degrees in Fine Arts and Art History. I consider myself a resourceful, supportive and fun teacher. As I have in the past designed specialty English courses for Italian Tour Guides, I can tailor courses to other specific professional needs. For children, I draw on my Fine Arts background to incorporate hands-on projects that support language acquisition. For more advanced students, I can center courses around public speaking or writing.

My strengths as a teacher lie in my ability to nurture students’ confidence while challenging them to meet their goals in the context of a friendly, stimulating and interactive relationship.
