Business English and IELTS prep, tutor with 5 years experience

I have five years' experience in teaching English, I began my career in Moscow at a business English school where I conducted intensive courses in business vocabulary, global teams functionality and project management. Since then I have gone on to learn to teach interview technique and application writing as well.

I have worked extensively preparing students for exams such as the IELTS and Cambridge exams and have plenty of happy students who have achieved the band score or grade they wanted- or higher!

My main goal when it comes to teaching is finding out what is the student wants and finding a way to guide them in reaching that goal. Whether it is simple conversational practice, to intense grammar revision or preparation for an exam or interview; there is a way to create a lesson plan to meet your needs!

1. My experience- I've been doing this for a long time and I know what I'm doing. I can use this experience to quickly assess your level and together create an appropriate learning plan.
2. I have a clear, mostly neutral British accent. I am easy to understand and I can help with your own accent reduction. Particularly useful if you are moving to the UK or trying to gain a British accent yourself.
3. I have a variety of resources which make learning not only fun, but engaging. In my experience you are much more likely to stick to a learning plan if you enjoy and are challenged by it, hence why I introduce such a wide range of resources.
4. I have lived in 6 countries myself and had to adjust to different cultures and languages. As a language learner, I know what it is like to feel lost, confused or overwhelmed. I also know how much of a daunting task it is to learn a language and I can relate to that. This makes my approach more practical and more helpful.

Please note as I conduct my lessons back to back the total lesson time is 55 minutes to allow a break between classes.
