The MSc in Business is a high-quality program in general Management designed for students with degrees in a variety of fields other than Business or Economics.
The program will provide graduates with a solid foundation in the core areas of Management. You will acquire the knowledge, analytical tools, and competencies necessary for a successful managerial career.
The MSc in Business will complement and enable you to leverage your undergraduate training. You can choose to bring your management insights to the field of your undergraduate degree, or you can pursue a career in the business area that interests you most. Our Career Development Office will assist you in identifying and achieving your career goals.
Admissions requirements
- Graduates with a degree in a field other than Business or Economics who want to obtain a solid understanding of core areas of management in preparation for a management-related career.
- Professional experience/internship (up to 2 years), international exposure (exchange, summer school or internship abroad) and extracurricular achievements are highly valued by the Admissions Jury.

1st Semester and 2nd Semester
Coursework
Your coursework will be in General Business Foundation courses designed to provide you with a broad overview of management and an integrated view of activities of the firm. You will have an opportunity to take an elective course to complement your area of expertise, or simply explore a topic that interests you:

Career Accelerator Lab
Career Accelerator Lab is designed to help students in CATÓLICA-LISBON’s Master programs to develop skills that are important for working with and managing people, as well as for approaching the job market, and therefore for lifelong employability and growth.
International Experience (optional)
To obtain a valuable international experience and further improve your knowledge, you can pursue an exchange semester in one of CATĂ“LICA-LISBON prestigious partner schools around the world.
Summer Internship (optional)
You are encouraged to complete a summer internship before or during the master program.
3rd semester
Thesis Project
The Master thesis is the culmination of your master program. This is when you build on the knowledge and skills acquired during the program to develop an individual project on topic that resonates with your career aspirations and helps you excel in an area you find professionally relevant.
The thesis project involves a research methodologies workshop, designed to provide you with advice, resources and useful tools to plan the research for your thesis, and write a dissertation.
