Hello, I'm Lydia (from Australia...not sure if I count as Erasmus...!) but I'll be studying law at Leuven for the September semester as well! :) The website mentioned we'll be able to find housing on the private market if we arrive 1-2 weeks beforehand, do you think that's realistic? Or will I be running around like a panicked chicken and sleeping in the university library? ><

Many people have told me to look for a house as soon as possible, and I know that many people go to Leuven in july and august in order to look for a place to live from september. That´s what I´m going to do :P Anyway, I think that you won´t have any problem to get a house if you go during the first days of september. The only problem maybe is that the best houses would be occupied by then.
I suggest you to ask some people in the pages from Erasmus students in facebook or other social networks ;)

Hi, I'm Tobias. I will study Food Technology in Leuven. (I guess I will be the only Erasmus student wo will study Food Technology ;) or is there someone else?) I will search for a room sometime in august because I will be busy at my University until end of July. I don't think that it will be a big problem. At the ones who will attend the language course in July/August: can you give us a small feedback about the housing situation?

hi everyone! I´m Maria from Spain, I´ll study in Leuven from September till February, the problem I have is I haven´t found any place to stay there! I´m a little bit worried. And I tried to contact with people who published in this webpage to rent a house but I need to be "premium" to contact with them.... Any help?

I'm also going a few days to Leuven from Madrid, probably this month, to find a flat or a room in a kot; have you found any cheap flights to do so? I'm looking flights with ryanair yet i still find pretty expensive stuff.

I´ve found a flight with iberia. There is an especial promotion for erasmus. You can look for it here http://erasmus.iberiajoven.com/ For me it has been the best flight because of the price an the conditions.

I didn't have a clue about this policy of Iberia.. gotta say it actually is really helpful. thank you very much for the advice enrique! i'm getting a flight to stay from 23 to 27 july and look for a place to stay so i don't have to sleep in a cave in september.. is anyone else gonna be there on those dates? i yet dk where to stay for those days, if there's some hostal or smtg.
