The course offer students a Level IV qualification that enables both access to a higher degree and a professional qualification to work in the Fashion Area. The target group of these programmes are students aged under 19 who aim to work in fashion related industries.

The Pattern Maker is a fashion professional who, from the interpretation of a clothing project, executes patterns, scales and measures, plans the cutting of fabrics, executes the confection and finishes of the various pieces and accessories.

The Pattern Maker has creative and technical knowledge that allows you to interpret fashion creations from both designers and textile creations. Its main functions are to study for the various garments, analyze sketches and technical files, design base molds in appropriate materials, prepare assembly plans for components and accessories, proceed to cutting and sewing the prototype and finally testing the prototype.

With this course you will be able to develop molds for the pieces, plan the cutting of the fabrics, learn about different techniques and materials related to confection.

You can also create your own studio and be part of the success of the textile and fashion industry.

Its main functions are to study for the various garments, analyze sketches and technical files, design base molds in appropriate materials, prepare assembly plans for components and accessories, proceed to cutting and sewing the prototype and finally testing the prototype.

Professional Status and Opportunities:

The Pattern Maker, is able to work in companies in the textile and clothing sector, companies in the field of textile representation, schools in the fashion area and training centers, technical offices and workshops.

You can work as an organizer and manager in technical production offices in textile companies, responsible for interpreting various pieces of clothing, sketches and patterns, responsible for modeling in fashion and sewing / haute couture workshops.
