Anyone else for EMLyon? I'm going alone so I'm really nervous, lol. I applied for their halls of residence today, really hoping I get it as I cannot be bothered flat hunting!

We used this website to find accomodation and found it a great help. Apparently the halls of residence are really strict and you have curfews. Whether thats true or not i donno. Have a look at this and see if there's any accomodation that tickles your fancy.lol http://www.estudines.com/residence-logement-etudiant-lyon-7-9.html Oh, and we call dibs on first house party ! :)

Hey Lauren, I am looking for someone to share with as Joann says it is a lot cheaper and we can search for 2 beds? Yeah it's not bad.....t's a 2 minute walk from lyon 3. Yeah it has the caf so it's not too bad. There's different size rooms at different prices. I can't wait to get over!

Hi, I'm Sophie from Dublin, Ireland, going to be studying languages in Lyon 3. I was planning on going through the association lyon website but it's so expensive! Something like 300e to help you find accommodation?? I don't really understand that fee, does it go towards your deposit or something??

The french government give every student in france a caf grant. They pay for something like a third of your accomodation which is normally around €170 a month. As far as i know, though, you need to set up a french bank account but it's easy to do once you arrive.

I'm going through the adele.org website, looking for a place to stay. i think i would like to get a T2, but i can't understand if the residence will pair you off or you already need to know your roommie...

@Sophie, that deposit gets deducted from your rent either in December or February, so it cancels itself out.
@Sarah my apartment is around €490 a month and it's with a shared kitchen, yeah. I applied for a T2 so I should have a room-mate.
@flavia thank you! As far as I know with the pairing off, you can choose whether your roomie is male/female, if they smoke or not and where they're from, but you're not paired off with a French student, it's usually international with international

Also, SO glad there's more Irish people going over, I'm the only one going from UCC haha :)

guys, i'm having problems registering on the lyon 3 website. when you have to decide from the list of "diplomes proposes", it just says DEUF!!! But I want to be in SELF!! Is anyone else having the same problem?? I was going to write to Chantal, but she is SOOO slow with the answers
