Hi. I'm going to study in Liege (Helmo St-Marie) from september for 5 months. I'm looking for a kot too.
I'll go to Liege at the end of august to find a flat. If there is anybody who is looking for a flatmate please let me know. :)

Laurie,
Have you had any luck finding your flat for you and your friends yet? Does it look like there will be a fair amount of kots in or near the city center, that are available for rent come September?

yes..me too.. I search on the internet and anything I found is taken. I hope we will find some place to stay. Also I heard that is a hostel near Saint-Luc University with 10euro per night. I don't know if this is true, because I didn't find it on internet. And...yes...most of them rent for a year, not just for a term :(

Hy. I just found out that to go in Belgium we need a passport and a residence permit...Is that true?

I don't think so, but I don't know if that also applies to Romania.

you don't need a passport but you're right that when you come to Belgium for lenger then 3 months you need a residence permit (or sth called differently) in local council with you acceptance letter - and it is obligated for all coming students

Has someone that goes only in the first semester have already a kot to live? Because i just go in the second semester and it's dificult to rent a kot for that season, so we could make a deal.

Mariangela, Joao and Alessandro,
Chances are no one on this forum will have a place for you to stay. There is a link below that has a good map of the districts of the city. If you are going to HEC, I would recommend a place in the Avroy district. you should read some of the begininning post on this forum, there are a lot of helpful tips and links that would help you find a place.

Joao,
Sorry man, I misread your post. The first and second page of the forum has links to useful websites where you can find possible places to rent. That is the best I can do for ya. =(

Joao, Stephanie,
There is a housing registration form on the ESNHEC website. if you fill it out they can find a place for you. Also, there are a lot of helpful links on the first page of this forum as well.

HI Stephanie, you current live in Europe or Brazil? because the european citizens have a card named "European Health card" or something like that, that works like a health insurance all over Europe (CEE)....

I'm living in the USA. I'll be in Belgium with my British passport, but I never had a British Health Insurance. Do you think I can still get this Health Card?
