University residence better it private?

Hello guys! I will be coming to Ghent for my first semster in September this year and i am currently looking for accomodation options both at the university and outside. If cost of accomodation is not taken into accoun, which accomodation option is better in terms of easy access to university, evening fun and networking. I perso think univet Halls let you make new friends easily because of common rooms and shared kitchen, but need your opinion on this. Thanks.

Hello! I am also going to Ghent this fall, and is wondering whether I should stay at the uni residences or not? What do you guys recommend?
