Has anyone been in italy without knowing the language? I mean, the faculty of engineering is asking me a B1 certificate (i'm not sure that is mandatory) but if i arrive there with a A1 level, will i be fine?
I'm portuguese. It's not that hard, for me, to read in italian, for example!
Cheers guys!

No it is not mandatory but some schools do require a certain level of italian. While you will be coming in with A1 level ..i would suggest that you come early before your program and do a language course there. My recomendation to you is either Accademia europea di firenze which will earn you a certificate in Italian language or any other language school in florence.
