For those who are studying in Bucharest next year we´ve got a Facebook group called Erasmus Bucarest 2012/2013 where we are talking about different aspects of our stay in Bucharest. Most people talk in Spanish but there is no problem if you write in English too. Join us if you want! Best regards

i have ask to join the group about 2 weeks now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no one accepted me :-(
Pablo Ávila Écrit il y a 12 ans
mm it´s so strange ... try to cancel your peticion and do it again! im not one of the administrators of the group so im not the one who accepts the group joining peticions. Anyway there are two similar groups, Erasmus BuCHarest 2012/2013 (this one is not working) and Erasmus BuCarest 2012/2013 (this one is which im talking about)... maybe you´ve mistaken choosing the right group!

Another spanish student to bucharest =)
Do you know what kind of sports could I practice in Bucharest?
Ana - Écrit il y a 12 ans
Hello Carlos, you can practice almost everything you want. Football, tennis, swimming, I don't know, almost everything but at this time only this three came to my mind. also karate, you can rent bycicles. but all this will cost you some money, normally. They are not free. Also if you will have friends here you can go to paintball and have fun :)

Buna Ana, thanks for your reply =)
I wanted to know the most common sports, or which one can I practice in the university, but other than football, basketball, etc..
Here I practice karate and paintball, so it's good for me =)

To be honest, I have no idea what you can practice in university. My university, for example, has a football field where we can practice different sports. But not too good. normally, the private ones are the best. For karate, you can go to a private school, but you have to pay, and it depends upon the school/club you go to. The prices may vary between 20-50 euros for 4-8 sessions. Also you can go to tae-bo, yoga.... but all this in private gym clubs.

There are many private gyms with anything you want, you can easily practice many kinds of sports. Karate is pretty common for people to practice, so you won't have any trouble. Depending on the university you go, they might have sports clubs and teams for common sports.
There are also a few paintball choices, most outside the city but easy to be reached. Prices are around 9-10€ per person for 150 balls (around 2h of playing).

Haha.. I come from spain but I don't like football =) but I wanted to know if I could practice something different. I have to learn Calusari :D
Otherwise karate is enough for me.
Thank you very much.

With a lil bit of luck you might find smaller groups of călușari in a couple of traditional restaurants. If not, the village museum hosts a lot of fairs along the year, where you can see them and learn some moves, hehe ;) The most important is to bring the stick :))
