Hello! I´m Joy, and I´m from the USA. I have over 20 years´ experience in Technical Writing, both as a writer providing services to business and industry and as a consultant and trainer providing business writing courses and training to company staff. For the past four years, I have focused on teaching English as a Foreign Language to students of all levels, from beginner to advanced.

Classes are always structured with the student´s goal in mind. For beginners, this normally means getting the student speaking confidently, so focus is on listening comprehension and conversation. For more advanced students, particularly those who know they will need writing skills, focus is on both written and spoken communication.

For students who want to study abroad, I am specialized in helping students prepare for taking an English as a second language test, such as TOEFL or the IELTS.
