Freezing rain

The glow is faint in the picture but believe me, it was there thorough the horizon and even reached the zenith. That was an unforgettable picture.

This is not the unique meteorological phenomena that we could see here. Who hasn’t looked at the moon encircled by a ring of light? This is known as an halo, which is quite often here. In my home city (Salamanca, Spain) it is only visible under certain conditions; basically due to the presence of the thin and cirriform, carrying tiny ice crystals. Again, in Finland this type of cloud is not essential because ice is even in the sky.
