Spain please help me to choose city for a studying!

Hi! I am Monika and I am a student of the second year on direction:wood technology and feeding of man. I am going to choose specialisation :biotechnology of food. I got to the program erasmus. I do not know where I going to study. First teacher propose me Neubrandenburg, The second Teacherpropose me Spain. I know that this direction exist both in Neubrandenburg and in Spain but Spain is beautifull. I will be gratefull if you could grant me some informations about this places. I think about Granada and Valency (ESCUELA POLITÉCNICA SUPERIOR DE ALCOY). Where is better and cheapper. How can I found the flat. I now that university dorms are more expensive than private flats. I am very scared because I am leaving alone. I having hope that somebody will find me there and help me to find myself there because I do not have any direct link. I am starting from Bydgoszcz. Now I must fly to barcelona and then Granada or Valency. I heard that tickets for intercity rides are quite cheaper.Is it true? How about living( food)? Is it everybody here who is from my direction and is still searching a flat?Is it everybody here in Spain from Poland? It will be greatfull if this way would be. How about exams. Is it hard ?? Please help me and write here.

Granad is the best city to study here, really cheap, most of the population are students, and there are plenty of activities for erasmus here. Dont hesitate!

Od września jestem na Erasmusie w Granadzie i jak najbardziej polecam. ;) Miasto jest bardzo (pro)studenckie, położone w pięknym regionie i na pewno tańsze od Valencii, bo po prostu mniejsze (dzięki temu oszczędzasz też czas i pieniądze na transporcie publicznym ;) ), można też trochę pozwiedzać za względnie nieduże pieniądze z różnymi erasmusowymi organizacjami, które urządzają też zajęcia integracyjne, darmowe kursy tańca itp. 
Poziom na uniwersytecie jest dosyć dobry, więc np. w moim przypadku (studiuję medycynę) nie są to wakacje, ale i tak jest lepiej niż w Polsce-nie ma kolokwiów, wiadomo, z czego się uczyć, wykładowcy są milsi. ;) Z tym że, przynajmniej u mnie, nie ma żadnej taryfy ulgowej dla erasmusów, piszemy takie same egzaminy, zajęcia są po hiszpańsku, nie zdaje się na piękne oczy i :"no hablo espanol". ;P 
Wynajęcie pokoju kosztuje 130-250 euro, zależnie od warunków. Większość ludzi ogarnia lokum po przyjeździe do Granady, do października całe miasto jest obwieszone ogłoszeniami, więc nie ma z tym najmniejszego problemu, ale możesz tesz poszukać przez Internet (ja tak zrobiłam, bo chciałam mieszkać blisko wydziału, poza tym mloi przerażeni rodzice nie chcieli mnie puścić w ciemno :P). Warto szukać mieszkania z rachunkami wliczonymi w cenę, bo potrafią być spore, ok. 50E/miesiąc. Jedzenie wychodzi podobnie jak w Polsce, jeśli kupujesz lokalne produkty w dyskontach, poza tym w sezonie można dostać np. 3 kg boskich pomarańczy za 1E. Obiad w stołówce studenckiej kosztuje 3,5 E, wieczorem często chodzi się na tapas: piwo/wino+przystawka kosztuje ok. 2E.
Jeśli chodzi o podróże, hostele są tanie, za to autobusy i pociągi dosyć drogie (w całej Hiszpanii), więc warto korzystać np. z Blablacar czy Carpooling albo wynająć ze znajomymi samochód i trochę pojeździć.
Samoloty z Barcelony do Granady ostatnio bardzo podrożały, więc ja w sezonie latam Ryanairem z Malagi (ok. 1,5 h od Granady) do Krakowa (są też loty do Wrocławia), ale Ciebie to pewnie nie urządza... W każdym razie sprawdź, czy nie masz bezpośrednich lotów np. do Sevilli, Madytu.
Ogólnie bardzo polecam Hiszpanię, jest przepiękna, bardzo zróżnicowana, a i rok bez zimy jeszcze nikomu nie zaszkodził. :P Valencia jest cieplejsza, większa i ma swoją plażę, ale ja jakoś wolę klimat Granady, poza tym mnóstwo się tu dzieje (darmowe koncerty, jest mnóstwo barów, pubów, ogólnie kolorowo :P).
I przede wszystkim: spokojnie, Erasmus jest fajny :P. Ja jestem jedyną Polką na wydziale i też przyjechałam sama z mojej uczelni, ale dzięki temu bardziej się integrujesz z obcokrajowcami, ćwiczysz język.

The best choice is Granada, of course, very cheap, good people, good landscapes, good weather all the year, good food, good parties....... the problem is the language in the universities, but all is possible to do.

the problem is language... I do not know this language...I only speak in english. It is possible to pass egzamination in this language or is it better to learn Spanish language there??

Always is better learn the language of the country. The problem in spain is that not many people speak english, in the universities of Andalucia a few proffesors speak english, What do you study? I think you have not problems if you study in the faculty of languages. About yours exams, you have to talk with your proffesors.

I am a current student studying in Granada. My Spanish was not a very high level when I arrived here so I decided to take an intensive Spanish course at a language school called Escuela Delengua (www.delengua.es) before my studies for 2 weeks. It helped a lot and it meant that I didn't have to take just Spanish language modules at university as I wanted to do subjects related to Economics and Business.

Furthermore, I can still carry on with my language course whilst at university as they have a special offer for Erasmus students where you can have 4 Spanish lessons per week. It only cost me 75 euros for 4 weeks as I registered with a friend, so is without a doubt value for money.

Furthermore, Granada is such a beautiful city to live in and you will never be bored because there is so much to do! Delengua organises activities every week so I feel like I have really made the most of what Granada has to offer! These include trips to the Alhambra, tapas nights, flamenco shows and many more...
