How are companies handling safer tank inspections?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been reading about the different ways robots are being used for industrial work, and I found the use of autonomous robots for storage tank inspections pretty interesting.

Large storage tanks can be difficult places for people to inspect, so having a robot collect inspection data seems like a practical use of robotics. I’m curious how widely this is being used and whether companies are actually finding it useful in day-to-day inspections.

Has anyone here worked with inspection robots or similar automation systems? I’d be interested to hear about your experience and what you think the biggest advantages are.
